We're still two months out from the start of the Ashes campaign, but having already spent a month in the UK it's hard not to feel the excitement building. Ed has been playing for Nottinghamshire over the last few weeks and their home ground is Trent Bridge where the first Australia v England Ashes Test match will take place. From what I have read in the media, the poms aren't at all happy that Ed is getting regular practice on the Notts wicket and becoming used to UK conditions but irrespective of that, he is thrilled to be part of the Notts playing group and Romy and I are stoked to be escaping another Australian winter.

There was snow on the ground when we arrived a little over four weeks ago (see photo below) but summer is well on it's way and the last few days have been absolutely glorious.
