Free Stuff

The Ashes tour has come to an end and I'm cleaning out Ed's suitcase in preparation for our trip home. This morning I gave away Romy's pram and car seat (I had it professionally cleaned after the travel mishap!) and over the last few days, Ed has given away one or two of his bats and some gloves to kids at the ground.

BUT THERE'S STILL A FEW MORE THINGS TO GIVEAWAY! For anyone wanting to pick up some free stuff straight out of our hotel closet, please meet me at the Hobbs gate at The Oval in Surrey on Sunday 25th July at 1.30pmI'll be there rain, hail or shine - the chick in the white top and green pants with a one year old in tow.

I can't make promises on behalf of the other players, but some of them may be willing to part with some of their gear too. Your best bet for this is to be along the boundary (near the player's entrance to the field) at the official end of play on Day 5. In the very least, you might be lucky to get a handshake, a photo and/or an autograph - especially if you're polite.

Thanks again to everyone for your support in the last few months. It's been great sharing our experiences with all of you and please don't be a stranger if we happen to cross paths - I love meeting fellow cricket fans and being able to put faces to some of the names who've kindly written to me. Come up and say hello!

Virginia.
