Travel day. We departed Brighton at 9am for what turned out to be a six-and-a-half hour bus journey to Manchester - boys on the first bus and girls on the second. This morning marked the end of our official 'visitor period' so we bade farewell to a few of our travel buddies who were about to embark upon the long journey home. It was an emotional farewell for Keira who now won't see Matt for seven weeks. Sarah and Erin are also flying home tonight as is Renae Di Venuto with poppets Sofia and Luca :(

Our bus trip was fairly uneventful, most of the girls sleeping, listening to music and/or trying to make use of the on-board wifi (the photos probably tell a more interesting story). So with three tour matches and two Test matches now already behind us, I thought I'd ask a few of the girls: What has been your favourite memory from this trip so far?

Alyssa: My favourite has to be all the bird poo incidents in Brighton. Steve Smith, Mitch and then Sarah Mitchell twice in one day. Not only are the seagulls massive but they are accurate!

Cherie: Watching my hubby at Lord's – I was so proud of him coming back from injury and taking five wickets to get his name on the Lord's honour board.

Madi: The last day of the Trent Bridge Test. I walked back to the hotel with the Agar boys and Wes was mistaken for Ash a number of times. Plenty of people were just happy to get Wes and Will Agar's autographs!

Mel: It would have to be the 3am fire alarm on the first night we arrived - having to slowly waddle down nine flights of stairs with help from James Pattinson. It showed that we all look the same at 3am (very un-glamorous)!

Kyly: Getting to spend most of the day last Saturday with my hubby and even having enough time to go and see 'Wolverine' at the movies.

Nicole: The sightseeing tour of London. Being my first time to the UK it was very cool to see London Bridge, cruise along the Thames and enjoy a hotdog in front of Big Ben.

Keira: The girls taking over the hotel lobby after day five of the Trent Bridge Test. Whilst the boys were at team dinner we created our own fun with food, bubbles and Carly's gym music blasting out of the speakers!

Carly: After the aforementioned 'bubbles' (see Keira's quote), Kayla and I feeling inspired to run across to the karaoke bar next door where we belted out Kelis' 'Milkshake' to a packed house of: the empty dancefloor, one barman and two security guards.

Tessa: My birthday at Lord's with my wonderful traveling friends! Nothing beats vegan choc cake and a 'Colour-me-Kate' book. A very memorable birthday.

Julia: Spending time by the sea in Brighton - the quaint lanes, beautiful views and morning exercise along the beach with a 'relaxing' holiday feel away from the hustle and bustle of the other cities we've visited.

For me personally, I'm STILL chuckling about a very confused Kayla asking, "Why do they call him 'Rhino' - is it because he charges in at the batsmen?" to which some of the other girls (between fits of laughter) replied "he's called 'Ryano' because his name's RYAN!".
